Actor Allu Arjun has set the box office on fire with his latest release Pushpa 2. While the movie has garnered positive response, it has also been in news for several other reasons. Recently, on 4th December 4 at Sandhya Theatre, a large crowd had gathered to see the actor. A 39-year-old woman, Revathi, tragically died from asphyxiation, while her eight-year-old son was hospitalised. After the incident a case was registered again Allu Arjun and his team and the actor has now appealed to quash it.
Allu Arjun appeals to quash FIR over women’s death at Pushpa 2 screening
According to the most recent update, Allu Arjun has reportedly shown an inclination to seek respite from the ongoing FIR against him following that unfortunate event. The actor has approached the Telangana High Court seeking to annul the said FIR. The court is still pending to hear and address the plea shortly.
The FIR against Allu Arjun and his security personnel was filed by the Chikkadpally Police based on a complaint from Revathi’s husband. The police have charged Allu Arjun, his team, and the theatre management under Sections 105 and 118(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for their alleged negligence in managing the crowd during the premiere. Following the incident, three individuals associated with the theatre were arrested, including one of its owners and a senior manager.
When Allu Arjun paid Rs 25 lakhs as compensation
In a video on X, the actor announced paying ₹25 lakh aid to the family of a woman who lost her life. He wrote, “Deeply heartbroken by the tragic incident at Sandhya Theatre. My heartfelt condolences go out to the grieving family during this unimaginably difficult time. I want to assure them they are not alone in this pain and will meet the family personally. While respecting their need for space to grieve, I stand committed to extend every possible assistance to help them navigate through this challenging journey.”

Amid all this, Pushpa 2 has emerged as fastest movie to enter 1000 crore club. It entered it in less than a week beating Baahubali 2 and RRR.
